I posted my profile on the old YA Alumni website, and it's not here. Where did it go?

Sadly, a number of profiles that were on the old website didn't make it to the new website, for technical reasons that are not very interesting.

We profusely apologize, and hope that you'll add your profile to the new site. And, we'll try to make sure this one sticks around.

I have my profile from the old YA Alumni website. How do I modify it?

First you need to get your password, which you can get by choosing the "Request new password" option, anywhere you see a User login window.

Once you have a password, you can modify your profile, add a profile photo, make blog comments, and more.

What's the best size for a profile photo?

The default size is 55 pixels wide by 77 pixels high. If you have a larger photo, it can be resized. If you have a square photo, it just won't fill up the entire space. A closely-cropped face shot is usually the best.

How is this site connected to the YA Alumni group on Facebook?

This is the "official" site of the BYU Young Ambassador alumni. However, the YA Facebook site has a lot of the same people and lots of great content. We encourage you to join both, especially if you're on Facebook already.

At present, the photo capability of Facebook is better than what we have here, so we have a page on this site that links to the photos there, so we can all enjoy them.

What are all the places in the cool photos at the top of the website?

The are all from places the YA's have toured (which is just about everywhere, right?) There are eight photos in all. See if you can name them.

(Hint: The ocean sunset -- which could be from anywhere -- is off the California coast at San Francisco.)

How do I look at just one tour photo for a long time, without the picture changing to another year?

On the Tours page, click on a year, and that will take you to the picture for that year, if there is one. (If there isn't one, and you have one, please send it to us!)

I want to add photos besides just a profile photo. How do I do it?

Right now, there is a "General Image Gallery" where you can post any photos. Once you have logged in, on the menu at the right, choose "Create content," then "Image." You can add it there.

We're working on other Image options, but that's what we have at the moment.
